This study aims to develop ''Scale of Elementary School Principals' Accountability Leadership''. First, based on related literatures, we reorganize the interview with the scholars, principals and teachers to develop the scale and modify it by Focus Group. The subjects of questionnaire include elementary school teachers in Taiwan. In pretest, we obtain 388 valid questionnaires for item analysis explorative factor analysis and reliability analysis. Upon the result of explorative factor analysis, we acquire 3 factors: accountability, fair and open, response & interaction; Cronbach's of total scale is .957 and sub-scale is between .928 and .939. As to formal samples, we obtain 1,236 valid questionnaires which are randomly divided into 2 groups for Confirmatory Factor Analysis and cross-validation analysis. Confirmatory Factor Analysis demonstrates that the scale is based on the fit, and goodness of convergent validity, discriminant validity and external validity. Besides, second-order factor of the scale is upon reasonable component validity and Average Variance Extracted. Hence, reliability and validity are positive. Finally, according to cross-validation analysis, the scale is stable with crosssamples. |
