On 6th Dec 2001, the biggest broadcasting media group in Mainland China was formed. The group consists of China Central Television (CCTV), Central People's Broadcasting Station (CPBS), China Radio International (CRI), and a lot of central-level media corporations. The formation of the group was seen as the outcome of related public policies. The essay discusses that why China authority try to enhance the formation of media groups by public policies. By political economic analysis, the essay figures out the true motives of China authority are both political and economic. Because of these motives, the effect of these policies was very limited. |
