Archives are primary materials essential for researchers. Since archives always reflect historical events, they are tremendous tools in teaching history at schools. Countries, such as England、United States and Hong Kong have been applying archive in teaching history at high schools. Their experiences serve as examples for Taiwan. This paper mainly delineates how archives were introduced in high school's history classes in England、United States、Hong Kong and Taiwan. And in addition, the roles that archive and archivist play in implementing history classes are also discussed. |
