TRITON satellite is a NSPO self-developed advanced weather satellite with the aim of receiving GNSS reflected signals for remote sensing. Moreover, TRITON mission objectives is also to serve as a technology demonstration platform for domestic key components and technologies. In addition to GNSS-R mission payload, TRITON also equips with NSPO in-house developed key components and/or technologies which include but not limited to On-Board Computer (OBC), Power Control Unit (PCU), GPS Receiver (GPSR), H2O2 Propulsion System as well as Fiber Optical Gyro (FOG). In Year 2019, NSPO has continuously proceeded satellite integration and test and most of the functional validation activities. Furthermore, two CPTs (Comprehensive performance tests), two satellite-to-ground end-to-end tests, and the conducted EMC test have been completed. TRITON is expected to be ready for launch by Q1 2022. |
