液相層析串聯式質譜儀的發展至今已經超過20年，但進入臨床實驗室卻是21世紀初的事。目前用在定量人類檢體內的小分子濃度已經是非常常見的技術。現況台灣只有少數醫院引進液相層析串聯式質譜儀提供臨床服務。因此本綜論的目的是針對液相層析串聯式質譜儀的基本原理，設立質譜實驗室時需要考慮的事項以及現況的應用做說明，希望提供臨床實驗室未來引進液相層析串聯式質譜儀的參考。

Liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) has been developed for over 20 years but emerged in clinical laboratories at the beginning of the 21st century. It is an almost universal technology for the quantification of small molecules in human sample materials. At present only rather few clinical laboratories are equipped with LC-MS/MS systems in Taiwan. The purpose of this article is to provide information for laboratory staff to introduce LC-MS/MS in the clinical laboratories. This review focuses on the principles of LC-MS/MS, practical considerations in setting up LC-MS/MS laboratory and applications in clinical laboratories.
