Rehabilitation positioning is necessary for preterm infants to stabilize their vital signs and maintain the development of skeletal and neuromuscular systems of patients with torticollis, fracture, brachial plexus injury, and cerebral palsy. Before we promote our nursing project, the correct rehabilitation positioning performed by our nursing staff reached only 55.6% and basic knowledge achieved 60.3%. The following were some of the possible causes: lack of an established standardized protocol or a clinical practice guideline and lack of related nursing continuing education topics. Possible solutions for the above mentioned problemsincluded providing related lectures for our nursing staff, establishing a standardized protocol or clinical practice guideline for rehabilitation positioning, and reproducing the learning vcdabout this topic. After the project, the correct rate of rehabilitation positioning performed by our nursing staff achieved 93.6% and the basic knowledge level achieved 90.6%. By introducing the nursing project, we hope to improve our nursing staff’s knowledge and practical skills in order to provide better nursing care and quality service. |
