A Study on "Habermas- Luhmann-Controversy"

「哈伯瑪斯-魯曼-爭論」（Habermas-Luhmann-Controversy）從1971年開始至1998年魯曼過世為止。此爭論可被視為「溝通行動理論」和「系統理論」之間的「爭霸戰」，其中涉及社會科學在後設理論上的七項環環相扣議題的不同理解：一是，學術與社會學；二是，社會與系統；三是，社會研究的出發點，四是，真理、主體與理性；五是，溝通理性與溝通；六是，語言與意義；七是，對於理想言談情境的評價。本文的論述要旨有二：其一說明此爭論的兩階段內容、差異要點與勢力消長，其二指明此爭論是因兩人觀察盲點不同所致。

The "Habermas-Luhmann-Controversy" started from 1971 and ended in 1998.It can be regarded as a biggest battle between action theory and system theory in social science in German. It referred to two totally different models on seven closely linked topics in meta-theoretical field. This can be seen in the following seven terms: first, science and sociology; second, society and system; third, starting point of social research; fourth, truth, subject and rationality; fifth, communicative rationality and communication; sixth, language and meaning; seventh, the evaluation on the ideal speech situation. The gist of this article has two points. One is to describe and explain this controversy, the other is to specify the blind spot as its cause.
