This article will begin from some Taiwanese proverbs’ descriptions of law and then will analyze the public’s understandings for it. The gap between national law and the public’s understandings of law may cause citizens’ distrust for judicial systems. However, the basic concept of this article is, if we can comprehend the public’s understandings of law via local proverbs, maybe we can find a solution for Taiwan’s current paradox of justice. After all, stories shall all begin with citizens’ life experiences!"
