This article is based on the theory of therapeutic phases and combines the author’s own counseling experiences of six physically abused clients (3 children, 3 adolescents) and the understanding of physically-abused children from references aims to discuss and present the theme of four therapeutic phases, the experiences of physically- abused clients during the counseling process, and the reparation of object relations. In addition, this article presents how counselors handle the clients’ negative therapeutic reactions and what tasks they have in each of the therapeutic phases in helping physically abused children cope with their experiences during their reparation of object relations.
