英文摘要 |
A pretest and posttest intervention trial with one control group was used to evaluate the effect of case management (including group health education, encouragement to participate in health promoting activities, telephone interviews, and home visits, etc) on metabolic syndrome (MS) components. There were 52 individuals in the case management group, and 76 in the control group. The case management group showed significant reduction in body weight, body mass index (BMI), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP) , and fasting blood glucose as compared to control group. In conclusion, after six months of case management, individuals with MS have successfully reduced their BMI, blood pressure, and fasting blood glucose. |
