Recently, there are research and papers concerning prosody instruction about intonation in the area of phonetic education. However, there are few practical studies focusing on vocal expression's learning. Language not only can convey meaning, but also can express mood. Hence, in order to express the meaning completely, it is indispensable to learn vocal expression. The subjects in this report were limited to Japanese learners in Taiwan. The process of teaching was focusing on speech communication and applying ”dubbing” which combines voice and situation into Japanese phonetic education. The results show that the practice of dubbing improves the correctness of pronunciation, the naturalness of intonation, and the learning of vocal expression. In addition, because dubbing is a group activity that needs a team to dub different characters simultaneously, it can also create a cooperative learning environment. The effects indicate that subjects have also acquired other achievement through cooperative learning. |
