國際測量聯合會：簡要介紹

A Brief Introduction of FIG

國際測量聯合會（Fédération Internationale des Géomètres, FIG）創立於西元1878年，是測量行業的最上層國際組織。FIG是聯合國所認可之非政府組織，目前擁有超過120個國家的會員。FIG也是國際科學理事會（International Science Council, ICSU）成員，對於國際測量學術與政策等各項事務，均有明確之影響力。目前具體推動聯合國所交付之數項課題，包含全球性坐標框架體系，對於未來性之測繪業發展，FIG的各個委員會，亦有長足之討論與掌握。FIG運作體系中包含十個委員會、兩個常設機構、一個常設秘書處，每四年舉辦一次大會，其間三年每年舉辦一次工作週。在每屆四年一次的大會中，選舉理事長，以及各個委員會的主席，並擬定工作與發展之方向與重點。本文整理FIG網站之簡介資訊，以2019-2022會期現況為主，介紹FIG相關活動，冀望有助於增進台灣測量行業對於FIG之瞭解。
Fédération Internationale des Géomètres (FIG, International Federation of Surveyors) was established in 1878 and is the highest international body of the surveying profession. FIG has representatives from 120 countries and is a Non-Governmental Organization recognized by the United Nations. It is also a member of the International Council for Science (ICSU). FIG has significant impact on the surveying profession in all aspects, including technical and strategical. Their current agenda includes international reference frames and datum. FIG consists of 10 committees, two permanent institutions, and a permanent office. Congress is held every four years. That includes FIG president and commission chairperson elections. Work plans for each commission are also formalized during this congress. This article briefly introduces FIG based on content shared by the official FIG web site. The period of 2019-2022 is selected for the introduction of current FIG activities.
