Narrative is found in all human history with many forms. It also plays a major role in health education settings. A good story can present and connect the events in a sequence and help people with a better understanding of the settings, characters and plots. On the other hand, narrative can guide students into the specific situation with better understanding comprehensively. Therefore, it being notice and becomes one of the popular teaching methods with situational clinical learning and practice. Narrative inquiry is one method use in of qualitative research. It has been applied in many health care related disciplines, however, it is a relatively new research method explored by Nursing faculty. The purpose of this paper aims to introduce the broad view of narrative research with philosophical hermeneutics approach. Additionally, the strengths and challenges of applying narrative inquiring research in Nursing is briefly discussed. |
