As a key and unique part of Soviet's systems, censorship worked effectively in Soviet politics and political culture. It coexisted with the socialist system of USSR and altered to adapt to the domestic and international social environment in different historical periods. In time full of Khrushchev's color, Soviet censorship experienced great changes and was unlike Stalin's and Brezhnev's time. It reflected both a thaw of early spring and a freeze of extreme cold during that time. |
