On January 1, 2019, the National Chip Implementation Center and National Nano Device Laboratories were officially merged into the Taiwan Semiconductor Research Institute (TSRI) - the first IDM-Lite semiconductor R&D center in the world. In response to global technological trends, the center allows academia and industry to join forces in providing a device-to-system, one-stop service that focuses on next-generation, innovative products and applications. TSRI hopes to achieve its goals of cultivating talent, servicing academia and industry, keeping up with international advancements, and facilitating innovative R&D. TSRI aims to promote the dynamic development of Taiwan's semiconductor industry and to become a world-class research institute for semiconductor design and fabrication. |
