The goal of the Synthetic Aperture Radar Satellite Constellation Program is to develop a 0.7m high-resolution X-band SAR satellites. At the present stage, the program mainly develops payload elegant bread board and its key technologies including high gain antenna, kilowatt-class RF power amplifier with thermal dissipation and power control modules, high-bandwidth RF transceiver, Central Processing and Control Unit (CPCU), high-speed large-capacity Solid State Recorder (SSR). In addition, the airborne SAR instrument with flight imaging test is also developed. The main accomplishments in this year are the completion of airborne C-band SAR instrument system and its flight test plan, electrical architecture design of the first SAR satellite, improved version of 300W power amplifier and thermal dissipation modules, demonstration model of light-weight and deployable antenna (2.7m diameter), design and analysis of BFPO radar data compression algorithm by FPGA, and software module for ship detection application. |
