The 4th International Conference on GPS Radio Occultation (ICGPSRO) in 2018 was held by National Space Organization (NSPO) from April 18th to 20th. The purpose of the conference was to provide a platform for the exchange of research results of users of global occultation data, and to discuss the topics of verification I correction related information after the launch of FORMOSAT-7 as well as scientific research cooperation. etc. A few key representatives including representing officer of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Convener of International Radio Occultation Working Group (IROWG) sponsored by World Meteorological Organization (WMO), ICON Satellite Program Manager, representing officer of University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR). GOLD Satellite Mission Scientist, Director of Space Weather Program at National Science Foundation (NSF), and representing officer of the ionospheric research at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory attended the meeting. A total of 150 researchers from 14 countries attended the conference and published more than 60 papers. At the same time, a new GNSS reflection signal research application was added during the conference in line with international trends and the NSPO self-developed FORMOSAT-7R satellite program, in addition to the Taiwan-US postgraduate activities and the exhibition of space technology products from domestic manufacturers. |
