This paper discusses writing skills of the Essay''Gloomy Keelung River'' from two aspects: '' organizational structure '' and ''rhetoric''. The author is inspired by classical works; he organizes and lays out article chapters. For example; he cleverly uses the story of ''Dig natural earless nose and mouth of the Mixed Element ''(《Zhuangzi》) and the sequence method of '' river flows eastward again'' ( 《 Shuijing zhu 》 ) to enter modern prose creation.The author cleverly uses rhetorical phrases such as ''Quotation''; ''Analogy''; ''Transformation''; ''Repeatability'' and ''Parallelism''. So this prose depicts things in convincing; deeper and more vivid way. This river protection prose is highly praised in literary for good skills of '' organizational structure '' and ''rhetoric''.
