臺灣彰化縣地方學研究的發展──以彰化縣文化局的角色為中心

The Development of Local Studies of Chang-Hua: The Role of Changhua County Cultural Affairs Bureau

本文討論台灣彰化縣地方學的發展，作者指出該地地方學的發展受到解嚴後台灣史研究興起的影響，但彰化縣的公部門投入推動地方史相關項目的發展也功不可沒。在相關台灣史人才養成後，加上彰化縣投入辦理《彰化文獻》、地方學研討會、村史寫作等，至2004年有關地方學已邁入穩定階段。已陸續出版的《新修彰化縣志》編纂的推動，更是該縣地方學研究走向高峰。彰化縣文化局在地方學研究推動中，扮演了重要的角色。

This article discusses the development of local studies of Chang-Hua. The author points out that the local studies have been affected by the rise of the Taiwan Studies after 1987, and the Changhua County Cultural Affairs Bureau has made significant contribution to promoting the research in regard to the local histories. The local studies have engaged much attention since 2004 because of the following factors: More researchers of Taiwan history were involved in the local studies, and the Changhua County Cultural Affairs Bureau has sponsored numerous activities like giving conferences on the local studies, inviting scholars to draft the histories of local villages, and publishing Chang-Hua Journal of History. Recently, the publication of The History of Chang-Hua County (A Revised Edition) manifested that the local studies have reached a peak. The Changhua County Cultural Affairs Bureau has played an important role in the local studies movement.
