The study is a self-narrative research, which reveals the unique life course of a second generation Christian, as he adheres to the Christianity and belongs to the minority in Taiwan. This study will be analyzed through the 'holistic-form method', while James W. Fowler's 'Faith Development Theory' will be applied to analyze how the 'family faith' is transformed into 'own faith', and also understands the lesson of the “surrender” during the internalizing process. The study find that Fowler's theory help to clarify the development of the faith, but it seems that neglect the features of the diversity of personal background, and the relevance to the interaction between faith and environment. |
