Traditional gynecological cancer treatment includes surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. However, for advanced and metastatic cancer, these treatments have limitation in prognosis. Recently, immunotherapy has been developed. In gynecological cancer, human papillomavirus infection (HPV)-related cervical, vulvar and vaginal cancer, therapeutic vaccine may improve the response for these HPV-related cancers. In addition, other immune stimulators for T-cells may also provide efficacious cancer treatment. Herein, we introduce current immunotherapies, including therapeutic anti-cancer vaccines, oncolytic viruses, immunostimulatory cytokines, adoptive cell transfer, tumor-targeting mAbs, and bispecific T-cell engager. Then, we also describe the immunotherapy in gynecological cancer treatment. |
