Becoming a new social work supervisor is a vital transitional process not only for personal development but also for human resources development in social work professional community. However, the beginning, adaption of being a new social work supervisor has still ignored for a long time. Fortunately, the training and certification system of social work supervision have been developed in recent years in Taiwan. It is important to aware that development of social work supervisor consists of different stages with specific issues and themes. Thus, this paper focuses on the career transition from social worker to be a social work supervisor by integrating the entering trajectories, types of career transition, determinants of affecting adaptive process and adaptive types to develop an useful framework, thereby achieving multi-wins between personal career, sustainable development for social agencies and social work profession. |
