A Questionnaire for the Measurement of Obsessive-Compulsive Tendency

This study discusses the usefulness of a questionnaire which has been designed for quantitative study of obsessive-compulsive tendency. The questionnaire consists of 26 items tapping several constituents of obsessive tendency such as displacement, superstition, over-conscience, doubting, fear, etc. The questionnaire was administerted to obsessive-compulsive neurotic patients, non-obsessive neurotic patients and normal persons. The results showed that it is valid for the purpose as it was designed for. It was concluded that this questionnaire is good for normal or neurotic persons of both sexes and any age above 15, whose oducational background is at least grade school.
