The Behavior of the Albino and the Hooded Rats in a Temporal Circular Maze

Five albino and five hooded rats were trained with guidance in a temporal circular maze. The results show that thore were no apparent differences between these two types of rats in the rate of acquiring a given task, and in their ability to attain more advanced tasks. It was found that under the procedure used majority of Ss were unable to roaster tasks beyond a four-turn task; however. there was evidence showing that some Ss were able to master tasks up to five or even six turns. The distribution of times taken to complete correct trials suggested that Ss' performance did not depend on temporal discrimination.
