In a study reported by the author(6), the possible factors influencing the Bender-Gestalt test score (B-G score) and the coefficient of correlation between the B-G score and the sum of the Block-design and the Object-assembly test scores in the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-BO score) were discussed. It was also pointed out that factor of introversion-extroversion seemed to be one of those factors. From the author's clinical impression, it seems that the persons who obtain high B-G scores are more cautious and serious-minded than the persons who score low on the B-G, although their WAIS-BO scores are equal to each other. If cautiousness and seriousness in behavior are the expressions of the trait of introversion, then it can be said that the introverted persons are more likely to obtain higher scores on the B-G test than the extroverted persons even though the general intelligence not very different. In that report some objective data were presented to support the author's impressions. |
