1. This experiment was designed to study on the crossability between same or different genomes of cruciferae vegetables in Taiwan, hoping that we can take it as a reference in the practice of seed-production, as in developing artificial synthesis variety in different genomes. 2. The results show that, it seems there is high cross-compatibility between the varieties of the same genomes. But in different genomes, only that between A×AC (B campestries×B. napus), and between AC×AB (B. napus × B. juncea) are rather high, while that between others is none, or low. 3. An exceptional phenomenon has been found in one of the varieties of juncea named Dah-Chya, Peng-cha Mustard which possesses cross-compatibility with genome A. and genome C. worth for further investigation. 4. Seeds harvested from the resulted combination in this experiment will be investigated for their germination, F1 modality, and its practical value for commercial purpose on the coming September. |
