1. The number of micro-organisms of casing soil was decree ing during the process of steaming sterilization, and that of actinomycetes was less than hat was found in natural soil before pasteurization 2. The actinomycetes which survived pasteurization had a stronger antibiosis to bacteria than to fungi. Neither fungi nor bacteria recovered during the steaming process exhibited signifiant antibiosis to actinomycetes. Therefore actinothycetes can be considered one of the nost important factor affecting the change of soil microflora following pasteurization. 3. Animal pests and fungi destructive to mushroom did not survive the process of casing soil pasteurization. |
