台灣椪柑及珠心糸苗之調查

PONKAN AND ITS NUCELLUS SEEDLINGS

就實地觀察研究結果得知椪柑珠心苗有下列優良特性：1.植株生長旺盛而強健。2.傷害後恢復力強而且癒合快。3.適應當地環境特性較強，抗病抗旱亦較顯著。4.幼齡樹多刺至成齡時刺則減少而退化。5.每年結果尚屬豐產。台灣椪柑樹命短，易早衰敗，惟珠心椪柑生長強健，適應性強發育快，能抗旱，其樹命較普通椪柑為長，故結果期亦長，今後為改進並維護本省椪柑事業，供應著重發展珠心系苗，建立新的系統，以補救當前之困難，安定果農之收益。

The behavior of the nucellus seedlings of Ponkan were investigated as follows: 1.The vegetative growth of the trees are much more rapidly and vigorously. 2.The tissue on rescovery of injury are rapid and strengthly. 3.High adaptation ability and the resistance to diseases and pests are strengthly and obviously. 4.So many spines on strunks of seedlings, but on old trees, the spines are to leave out. 5.It fruits. and main tains producfive year by year. There are so many good characteristics of nucellus seedlings which can be used to improve the citrus industry of Taiwan.
