Scaling of Lilium longiflorum Thunb 'Georgia' sterilized with 1000 X Benlate for 30 min better than in 45°C hot water for 30 min treatment or control. Benlate treatment reduced percentage of decay and promoted bulbing and rooting. After sterilization with benomyl or hot water treatment, IBA (10 ppm) had better effects on promoting bulblet formation and rooting than NAA (100 ppm) or BA (5 ppm). The best time for scaling was the bulbs harvested affer post-senescene, better than scaling immediately after post-flowering. Scales from outer, middle or inner part of parent bulb for bulblet formation and rooting were influenced by plant growth regulators. |
