The germination rate of papaya seeds in winter mushroom Flammulina velutipes) compost is the same as control (peatmoss: perlite = 1:1,v/v), but the growth of seedlings was inferior to control and showed nitrogen deficiency slightly. The mixture of winter mushroom compost with other organic (peatmoss, seed pomaces etc.) and inorganic components (vermiculite, sand etc.) have been desired to improve those weakness. The shoot length and stem diameter of Pyrus kawakami were similar or greater than control in SWMC/peat/sand (6:6:1,v/v). All the results show that modified winter mushroom compost has the potential to grow horticultural crops for liner production. |
