蘆筍選種試驗：（一）蘆筍質量及數量性狀之相關探討

Experiment on the Selection of Asparagus (Ⅰ) Study on the Possible Correlation on the Quality and Quantity of Asparagus

本試驗之主要目的，除在選出優良母株，自行生產種子，改善蘆筍品質與產量外，並探討蘆筍質量及數量性狀之相關，以作為選種之指標，本試驗所用蘆筍品種為UC309，所單株調查，共記載26個性狀，結果根盤大小，秋末母莖數，早春母莖數與嫩莖總產量成正相關，母莖大小與一級品產量，嫩莖大小成正相關，嫩莖大小成正相關，第一分枝高度與開張枝數成負相關。且雌雄株之遺傳行為不同，因此選種時，應該分開來選拔，則選種效益更為有效。

In order to have our own seed production, we started a series selection of Asparagus plants individually. In addition, we would like to see the possible correlation of the quality and quantity of asparagus, variety of UC 309. The correlation was significantly positive between the yields and the crown size of the stalk, numbers of stalks in the early spring and in the late fall; between the size of the stalks and the size of the spears, the yields of the first grade spear. On the contrary, the correlation between the height of the 1st branch of the stalk and the numbers of spears with loose tip was negative. There is some difference in genetic behavior between male and female. The separate selection of male and female is necessary.
