The main purpose of this study was to investigate the emotional experiences of different planting spaces and planting space sequences. In order to visually display the three dimensional planting environment, the study applied Virtual Reality simulation -technique to construct the experimental spaces which included five basic planting space patterns and 20 planting space sequences Through the use of computer and Head Mounted Display (i-glasses). the emotional experiences for simulated planting spaces were surveyed by questionnaire. In total. 100 valid samples were selected. Data were analyzed by factor analysis. one-way analysis of variance, two-way analysis of variance. The results indicated that different planting space patterns had significantly different emotional experiences. The open and horizontal space had more positive effects on 'jubilant-benignant' and 'calm-comfortable' feelings. The enclosed space had the most effect on 'dreary-confusion' and 'afraid-intense' feelings. Different planting space sequences also had significantly different emotional experiences. |
