木本植物之芽休眠機制及其調節

The Mechanism and Regulation of Bud Dormancy in Woody Plant

本篇主要探討多年生木本植物的芽休眠問題，重點有（一）休眠的定義；（二）休眠名詞的釐清；（三）休眠的進行與引起休眠的因子；（四）休眠與植物荷爾蒙之關係；（五）休眠的克服，主為介紹氰胺（cyanamide）、夏油乳劑（mineral oil+DNOC）、硫尿（thiourea）、硝酸鉀（potassium nitrate; KNO3）等四種打破休眠的化學藥劑機制及效果。最後，探討目前在木本植物之芽休眠上所遭遇的問題及未來研究方向。

This article is a review the literature on the bud dormancy problems in the woody perennials. The following topics are reviewed: 1) Definition of dormancy; 2) Terminology of dormancy; 3) Dormancy courses and factors which induce and release dormancy; 4) Effects of plant hormones on dormancy; 5) The dormancy breaking mechanism and the effects of dormancy breaking chemicals (i.e. cyanamide, mineral oil + dinitro ortho cresol(DNOC), thiourea and potassium nitrate). The problems that have arisen from current studies on dormancy release and future outlook are discussed also.
