Nursing is a job associated with high stress and emotional labor. Many studies have confirmed that group counseling can be used as a treatment method for clinical nursing staff to deal with stress and emotional labor, and thus reduce their occupational exhaustion risk and promote their job satisfaction and sense of accomplishment. This paper intends to present the vital topics that the group counseling process must focus on, the dilemmas faced and responses of the nursing staff, and the nursing leader's reflection through the leading experience of the nursing staff's emotional care group. We expect that this article will provide psychological counseling workers, engaged in or involved in the nursing field, and nursing leaders with information regarding theory and practice of group counseling for the nursing staff. |
