Da Yi Xiang Shu Gou Shen Tu is the richest collection of Tu-shu Yi Xue in Song Dynasty, and its complex and diverse content has far-reaching influence. Zheng Dong-Qing's 61 Yi-diagrams account for the majority of the collection. Relevant diagrams in the book reflect Zheng's distinctive feature of obtaining Yi through Xiang, his innovative Xiang-Shu ideas, and the fact that his theory is highly influenced by Han-Yi. With limited literature available, by exploring the application of numbers and Gua, the use of Yao and Xiang, the time-space law of astronomy and lǜ-lǚ, and the Gua alignment of Tian-gan, Di-zhi, and the five elements of the universe, the present study aims to delve into the content of Zheng's Xiang-Shu theory and provide a detailed analysis and evaluation of his Yi Xue, with the hope of offering a better understanding of Zheng's Yi philosophy. |
