A mini tubular pump is discussed. The pump has total eight sets of coil winded outside the tube. Every set of coil generates different electromagnetic field attracting the inner piston ring reciprocates. It is because the piston is attached with a magnetic ring. In the paper, we use commercial software ANSYS to analyze the generated electromagnetic force to obtain the best axial length of the magnetic ring with given thickness. In addition, we also want to know which piston is more effective through analysis: the piston attached with one complete magnetic ring or the one with multiple magnetic rings having same weight. Two conditions are considered for the above two kinds of analysis: when the magnetic ring locates at one end of the pump, and at between two sets of coil. The results show that the magnetic ring has the best axial length with given thickness. It also shows that a set of two magnetic rings is better than one complete magnetic ring with same size. |
