In this study, the Fiber Bragg Grating(FBG) sensors and the strain gages were attached on the stainless plate with different thicknesses to measure the dynamic shear strain of soil in the shaking table tests. The soil strain measured by the proposed device compared with the other transducers gives the opportunity to the preliminary investigation on the deformation and liquefaction mechanisms of soil during earthquake loading. |
