在生物醫學發展的過程中,實驗動物(experimental animal)是研究人員/學生常常接觸的研究材料,因此熟練的實驗動物操作技術,不只是對動物福利的提升,同時也會提高動物實驗的成功率及增加實驗結果的穩定性,更有助於改善整體實驗的品質。因此本文就沒有接觸過動物實驗的研究人員/學生為例,以實驗大鼠(或小鼠)來介紹如何分七個階段進行關於「實驗動物操作技術與應用」之自我訓練:(一)實驗動物使用的3R原則;(二)合適的動物飼養環境;(三)訂購適用的實驗大鼠(或小鼠);(四)動物畜養、保定、編號及管餵(強飼);(五)動物麻醉、犧牲及取組織(胸主動脈);(六)離體血管張力測量(Wire Myograph System);(七)離體血管張力試驗的應用在健康食品相關產品的開發(《輔助調節血壓功能》及《輔助調節血管內皮生理功能保健》)。
During the biomedical development, researchers or students usually use experimental animals as materials to do the study; therefore, skilled experimental animals manipulation techniques not only can improve the animal welfare, it but also increase the success rate of animal experiments and the stability of experimental results. This will make the overall experimental quality better. Therefore, this article will show the researchers or students with few experience on experimental animals (rat or mice) the self-training methods at seven stages: (1) 3Rs principles (replacement, reduction, refinement) for experimental animals use; (2) comfortable animal housing environment; (3) ordering proper experimental animals (strains); (4) animal keeping, holding, grouping/numbering and tube feeding/gavage; (5) animal anesthesia, sacrifice and tissue collection (thoracic aorta); (6) isolated vascular tone measurement (Wire Myograph System); (7) application of isolated vascular tone measurement technique on development of Health Food products, which is related to “blood pressure regulation” or “regulation of vascular endothelial healthy function”. |
