「民俗」作為「民族」共榮的途徑──以《民俗台灣》為中心（1941-1945）

“Folk customs” as the way of a “race” prosperity: based on “Minzoku Taiwan” (1941-1945)

《民俗台灣》創刊於 1941年，主要由日人發起，亦是台日知識分子共同參與保存台灣民俗的重要媒介。該雜誌以蒐集、記錄台灣各地的民俗資料為主要目的，然而，在卷頭語、編後語以及數篇座談會文章中，卻也透露該雜誌在「民俗」研究與「時局」協力之間的曖昧關係。本文試圖以該雜誌中對於台灣民俗與民族的討論為中心，討論文中記錄了哪些台灣「民俗」，這些「民俗」與過往的「民俗」有何差異，以及隨著時局之需，「民俗」如何被用以與「民族」結合，又如何將台灣「民俗」締結在「大東亞民俗圈」的想像上。 “Minzoku Taiwan” published in 1941, mainly by Japanese, is also the important medium that Taiwan’s and Japan’s intellectuals participated to preserve Taiwan’s folk. The magazine’s main purpose is to collection and record folk material in around of Taiwan, however, in the heading of the first volume, the editor and the several symposium articles, but also to reveal the ambiguous relation between in “folk” study and “situation” cooperation. This paper attempts to use the articles of Taiwanese folk customs and race , to explore the magazine recorded what of Taiwanese “folk customs”, what difference between in the “folk customs” and past “folk customs”, and the combination of “folk customs” how be used with “race” with the change of the situation, the purpose of this article is to present “Minzoku Taiwan” presented what kind of “folk” Taiwan, and how to combine Taiwan “folk” to the imagine in “Great East Asia folklore”.
