宮燈百合種球於種植前先分別以浸漬或灌注方式處理巴克素(paclobutrazol)溶液20分鐘。植株高度、花朵數及葉片數與不經浸漬處理者之差異不大。種球定植於五吋盆,在芽體冒出土面後,進行不同濃度巴克素(paclobutrazol)灌注處理,植株高度隨矮化劑灌注處理濃度增加而降低,以每盆灌注10mg巴克素(paclobutrazol)之矮化效果最佳,平均株高33.4公分,未經處理之植株,則高達75.2公分。宮燈百合種球未經切斷及矮化劑處理,其株高較高,達75.7公分,種球經切斷處理後,植株高度有明顯降低現象,平均株高61公分,經巴克素(paclobutrazol)灌注處理(7.5mg/pot)植株高度可進一步降低至41-47公分,矮化效果明顯,而且每盆可有四支花莖,總花朵數為34朵,有提高盆花品質之效果。
Tubers of Sandersonia aurantiaca Hook. were treated with paclobutrazol solution for twenty minutes either by soaking tubers in the solution before planting or by drenching tubers with the solution after tuber was planted in 5-inch pots and buds emerged. The results showed that tuber soaked in paclobutrazol solution in a range from 50 to 200 mg.L-1 before planting did not affect plant growth and plant height. However, paclobutrazol drenching-treatment reduced shoot length with no affect on leaf and floret numbers. Plant height decrease from 73.8cm to 33.4cm as a result of increasing paclobutrazol concentration. The most effective dosage of paclobutrazol in reducing plant height was found at the concentration of 10 mg per pot. Plant from tubers with one of two side arms cut showed a lower plant height (61cm in average) as compare to plant from intact tubers with no side arm cut (75.7cm in average). Plant height tended to be inhibited more seriously when the side-arm-cut tuber was also receiving paclobutrazol-drenching treatment. Plant height ranged in 41 to 47cm. |
