太空中心劉人仰資深研究員、國家中山科學研究院彭子軒博士及國立臺灣大學光電所王倫教授共同研發出獨特的「光致退火方法以及應用該方法之光纖裝置」從474件合格參選案件脫穎而出,榮獲105年國家發明創作獎發明金牌。此發明是利用短波長光致退火效應,針對因輻射照射而產生的摻鉺光纖損燬進行即時修復,透過這樣的機制,耗損的光源功率能以幾近即時的方式修補回來,不僅光源功率與放大器增益可全恢復,也因全修復其光纖模組的中心波長也不會因輻射照射而飄移,對高精密系統的應用而言是唯一的全抗輻選擇。此技術應用層面廣,除提高衛星姿軌控制關鍵元件太空級精密光纖陀螺儀的可靠度與壽命外,未來還可嘉惠快速擴展的太空雷射光通訊領域。
The Photo-annealing method and optical fiber apparatus are developed by the Senior Research Fellow, Ren-Young Liu, National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology(NCSIST), Dr. Tz-Shiuan Peng and Graduate Institute of Photonics and Optoelectronics, National Taiwan University, Prof. Lon Wang, which awarded the gold medal of National Invention Award in 2016. The inven tion relates to an optical fiber assembly suitable to operate under irradiation environment and is to mitigate the radiation damage of rare-earth-doped optical fiber elements as part of the optical fiber assembly. |
