福爾摩沙衛星二號計畫

FORMOSAT-2 Mission

福爾摩沙衛星二號（以下簡稱福衛二號）為台灣第一顆高解析度光學遙測衛星，其對地解析度為黑白影像2米、彩色影像8米，衛星上除光學遙測酬載外還搭載高空向上閃電儀。福衛二號於2004年5月21日成功發射至今，衛星健康狀況良好，可持續進行遙測取像及高空向上閃電觀測任務。福衛二號2010年任務成果，將從任務操作、影像拍照以及科學實驗三方面來說明。 FORMOSAT-2 is a high-resolution optical remotesensingsatellite with a 2m Ground Sampling Distance(GSD) in the Panchromatic(PAN) band and 8m GSDin Multi-spectral(MS) bands in the nadir direction.In addition to remote-sensing instruments(RSIs), FORMOSAT-2 also carries an Imager for Sprites inUpper Atmospheric Lightning(ISUAL) to monitor upperatmosphericlightning phenomena. The FORMOSAT-2was successfully launched on May 21, 2004. The satelliteremains in good working order and is continuouslytaking images and conducting ISUAL missions.
