自從電影發明以來,電影製作者一直致力於將觀眾帶入各式的故事和時空當中,為了實現這樣的目標,便促使「電影特效」的發展。其中有一項古老的特效技術從電影發展之初便運用至今,即是專門用來製作「電影場景」的繪景技術(Matte painting),此種技術常常被使用在難以實際拍攝的場景上,如科幻、奇幻類型的電影中,透過繪景師們手繪的擬真繪畫場景和實拍影像結合,讓導演得以延續電影故事的情節;而隨著數位科技的進步,此項技術便成為現今的數位繪景技術(Digital matte painting),如今更被廣泛的使用至電影、電視劇、廣告和遊戲等領域中,其擬真的效果更是使人虛實難辨。然而,可惜的是,此項技術也被稱作一項「不可視的藝術(Invisible art)」,其不可視之原因在於繪景師們高超的技巧讓這些「人造」的場景,豪無破綻的出現在大螢幕上,因此觀眾更不會發現那就是「數位繪景」所創造的藝術。有鑒於國內以數位繪景技術作為創作的論文甚少,而關於此項技術背後的歷史及藝術形式也鮮少人知。因此,本創作將透過文獻探討與電影案例分析的方式,藉由數位繪景技術創作出科幻、奇幻、災難此三種不同風格的「場景」,並透過作品的解析讓欲了解此領域的初學者能透過本篇論文得到數位繪景技術相關的實作概念與知識。 Since the invention of the film, filmmakers have been dedicated themselves to bringing audiences into various stories as well as space and time, and in order to attain such a goal, they reinvigorate the development of visual effects. The matte painting, as an old special effect technique being used until today, is particularly used to make the "movie scene." This technique is often used on the scenes which can hardly been filmed in its actual manner, such as the science fiction film or fantasy film. The manual photorealistic drawing scenes and actual scenes made by the scene painters enable the director of the film to carry on its scenario. Now with the advanced digital technology, this technique has henceforth become the digital matte painting, and it was even widely used in the fields such as films, TV series, advertisements, and games, with its photorealistic effect that remains difficult for people to tell whether it is virtual or actual. Moreover, this technique was also known as "invisible art," due mainly to the painters' mastery of skills that makes these "artificial" scenes seamlessly appear on the screen without people's notice. The audience can even hardly notice the "digital painting" which was artificially made. As the domestic papers rarely addressing the digital matte painting, especially its history and artistic values, the paper attempts to create three different styles of scenes such as science fiction scene, fantasy scene and disaster scene with the aid of digital matte painting, through literature review and film case analysis. Also, beginners who intend to know more about this field can, through the analysis of the works, obtain the practice concepts and knowledge related to digital matte painting. Through the analysis of this work, beginners who want to know about this field can obtain the practical concepts and knowledge related to digital picture technology through this paper.
