Tetrastigma bioritsense, the correct name for Taiwan Tetrastigma dentatum (Vitaceae)

自1963年李惠林在其所著「台灣木本植物誌」書中將三腳虌（Vitis dentata Hayata）移至崖爬藤屬，而將學名改為Tetrastigma dentatum（Hayata）Li以來，最近幾年大部分學者皆跟隨其使用，如Lu 1977及1993、Yang（82）、Yamazaki 1994、Ying 1995。其基本名Vitis dentata Hayata 是由早田文藏（Hayata）於1911年所發表，但此學名為Vitis dentata Link之晚出同名，故為不合法名。本學名於1915年早田文藏已重新擬定為Vitis bioritsensis Hayata，因同意此種植物隸屬於崖爬藤屬，故將其新組合為Tetrastigma bioritsense（Hayata）Hsu and Kuoh。 Hayata (1911) described a new species Vitis dentata from Taiwan. The name was the basionym of Tetrastigma dentatum (Hay) Li. This recombination was provided by Li (1963) and had been used in descriptions of most of the flora in Taiwan (Lu, 1977; Lu, 1993;Yang , 1982; Yamazaki , 1994; Ying, 1995). However, because the name Vitis dentata was already used for another species (Ling, 1821), V. dentatum Hay waas an illegitimate later homonym (Art. 64). Therefore , a new name , V. bioritsensis Hay, was applied by Hayata (1915). We agree to treat this identity into the genus Tetrastigme , and thus , a new combination , Tetrastigma biortsense, is given as the correct name for Taiwan Tetrastigma dentatum.
