On April 19, 2018, a delegation of 40 ancient books experts from mainland China in Taiwan attending the Sixth Conference on Preserving and Passing Down Ancient Books held in Taiwan visited the National Central Library (NCL). They were received and welcomed by the NCL’s deputy Director-General Wu Ying-mei. As their visit coincided with the 85th anniversary of the library’s foundation, the guests had a chance to look around Magnificent National Treasures: A Special Exhibition Celebrating the 85th Anniversary of the National Central Library’s Foundation, where they saw the earliest extant Song dynasty twocolor printed edition of the Diamond Sutra. They also took the opportunity to visit another special exhibition, Golden Cabinet 85: A Grand Garden of Editions.
