什麼是「導線」

導線是由量測邊、角，而呈一線形圖形之量測方式。由已知點逐步擴展至未知點，訂定未知點位置或方向。導線常用於控制網形之佈設，但不限於控制。例如在地籍測量及土地開發案中，導線測量常應用於坵塊面積之量測。「導線」由英文「Traverse」翻譯而得，日常使用之「導線」相關的名詞中，由於字義之模糊性，常有混淆之處，尤其是分類為「展開導線」、「閉合導線」與「附合導線」等時。本文由「Traverse」之字義出發，探討其涵意，再繼而討論中文譯名。由於中文「導」字之意涵，有所謂「水準導線」之名稱。究其原理，「高程控制網」、「水準控制網」、「水準環路」應為更適當之名稱。 A traverse is surveying method composed of angular and distance measurements.
