本試驗選定於惠蓀林場第三林班內之關刀溪長期生態研究試區的次生闊葉林進行,在此林分選定一處20 m×20 m 樣區進行生物量調查,藉以推估林分單位面積之生物量。次生闊葉林地上部生物量及葉面積的測定工作,除樣區內一棵胸徑142 cm 的川上氏櫧資料以異率迴歸式推估外,其餘喬木、灌木、地被及枝葉層的生物量與葉面積均已估算完成。依部位區分結果如下:樹幹、枝條、小枝條、葉及枯枝分別為276.26 Mg ha-1、122.22 Mg ha-1、3.37 Mg ha-1、8.75 Mg ha-1 及1.95 Mg ha-1,枯枝落葉層的生物量為12.78 Mg ha-1,LAI 為8.07。此些結果與福山闊葉林及蓮華池次生闊葉林相比較,若加入該株川上氏櫧的推估資料,發現喬木層之樹幹及枝條生物量,均遠高於前兩個林分,其他部分則無明顯差異。然而,不論是以胸高斷面積比率或Edwards 與Grubb 所使用的方法來驗證,均發現本試驗之生物量推估當在合理範圍內。 This study was working at Guandaushi Long Term Ecological Research Site in Hue-Sun Experimental Forest Station of National Chung-Hsing University. Sampling plot is 20 m × 20 m at secondary hardwood in this site. The aboveground biomass was investigated and the total aboveground biomass per hectare was estimated. The results showed that stem biomass was 276.26 Mg ha-1, branch biomass was 122.22 Mg ha-1, branchlet biomass was 3.37 Mg ha-1, leaf biomass was 8.75 Mg ha-1, dead branch biomass was 1.95 Mg ha-1, litter biomass was 12.78 Mg ha-1 and the LAI was 8.07. Comparing these results with Fu-Shan broadleaf forests and Lien-Hua-Chi secondary warm temperate montane rain forest, it can be found the total stem and branch biomass of trees are far higher than the other two sites. However, the biomass in this site is reasonable by being estimated with breast height basal area ratio or by the method submitted by Edwards and Grubb.
