解鈴還需繫鈴人──因應博物館變遷的建築空間規劃研究

The Research on Space Arrangement in a Changing Museum

許多博物館的功能問題都因博物館建築引起，空間不足與動線混亂是兩個主要問題，因建築引起的問題應由建築的方法來解決，這種思維見證於近二十年來世界許多知名博物館的成功改造經驗，不但解決老問題更同時開創博物館的新局面。國立科學工藝博物館與世界博物館發展趨勢同步，正式啟用剛滿六年，陸續發現許多功能上的問題，實體建築與原始書面規劃之間存在著功能落差，加以科學博物館展示更新的迫切性，博物館因應變遷的營運需求，都需要這年輕博物館對空間的利用進一步檢討與規劃。在博物館性質因應、建築使用的調適、創造空間新價值三個研究的基本議題之下，本研究提出了十六項空間規劃建議的研究成果，更特別強調公共空間規劃在實質上的重要意義，並提出兩處具特殊意義的公共空間的規劃論述，作為因應博物館變遷的建築空間調適與創新的詮釋。 Many functional problems are caused by museum buildings. Insufficient space and disorganized lines of movement are two main problems. The problems caused by museum buildings should be solved architecturally, as witnessed by many successful reconstruction experiences of various famous museums in the last two decades. They not only solved the old problems, but also created different new facets for the museums. For the 6-year-old National Science and Technology Museum, there are many functional problems which have been discovered. The building itself has different functions to those stated in its original plans. Besides, the urgencies of exhibition renewal and new demands for changing management operations required this young sciene museum to further plan and discuss its space utilization. In order to create new values of spaces, to coordinate with the utilization of buildings and to be in accord with the museum attributes, this research gives 16 suggestions for the policies of museum space rearrangement and also empharsize the importance of the arrangement of public spaces. In order to adapt to changing museum space requirements and create new concepts for the museum, two special suggestions about museum public space planning are given.
