企業永續：揭開企業長生不老之秘訣

Sustainable Enterprise: Revealing the Secret of Corporate Immortality

企業永續包含企業社會、經濟及環境責任，企業要永續經營就必須達到股東利益或企業利益極大化，但社會及環境責任也與企業生存息息相關。本研究發展出企業永續衡量指標以文獻方式歸類永續指數，包括四個面向：利害關係人之公司治理、外界評價之信用評等、企業經營績效之資產報酬率及企業存活之成立年數，將此四個面向進行探索性因素分析，整合為一個永續指數。企業永續生存須具備哪些因素，根據資源基礎理論以企業資源衡量企業競爭優勢，分為有形、無形及人力資源，以線性迴歸分析找出企業競爭優勢與永續指數間的關係。研究樣本來自台灣經濟新報資料庫，包含892間台灣上市企業，研究結果發現當實體資產、創新越高時，企業永續生存程度成將會降低，而當企業資金、利潤、技術、經濟效益、員工充足程度越高，企業永續經營的程度將會提高。 Corporate sustainability include social, financial and environmental responsibility. To survive, corporate need to maximize their benefits, but social and environmental responsibility are also relatively important. This study used literature review to find out the sustainability index, here we classified four dimensions which are corporate governance from the aspect of stakeholder, credit rating from the aspect of outside evaluation, ROA from the perspective of corporate performance and firm's age from the side of firm survival. Then we apply exploratory factor analysis to integrate these four dimensions into a sustainability index. This paper try to explore what factors will affect corporate sustainability. Basing on resource based theory to analyze firms' competitive advantages, separating the resources into tangible, intangible and human resources and utilizing linear regression analysis to find out the relationship between competitive advantages and sustainability index. This study used the samples from Taiwan Economic Journal database including 892 Taiwanese listed firms. We found that more physical and innovative resources will decrease the degree of firm's sustainability. Whereas more cash, profits, technological resources, efficiency of human resources and adequacy of employees will enhance the degree of firm's sustainability.
