The impact of Knowledge Sharing in Elderly Virtual Communities

動機與目的：樂齡者的體能隨著年齡的增長而下降，但其經驗智慧卻是逐漸累積成長的。樂齡者擁有畢生累積下來的工作經驗，這樣的退休人口大多在某些專業領域上仍具有特定的專長與生產力，但這重要的社會資本往往為社會所忽略。近年來樂齡者使用電腦網路的比例不斷升高，因此本研究將探討樂齡者在社群網站分享知識行為即對其自身的影響。材料與方法：本研究先藉由文獻回顧的方式，探討樂齡者進行知識分享行為及對其生命意義的影響。研究方法為準實驗法，邀請嘉義樂齡大學學員為實驗對象，加入樂於知識分享平台後，透過問卷調查方式，收集樂齡者於社群網站之知識分享對其生命意義之影響。結果與貢獻：本研究發現在樂齡者在知識分享社群對於其生命意義感有正向影響。本研究結果可提供相關網路、銀髮商務業者開展有關樂齡者的網路服務及教育部進一步推廣樂盛會學習之參考。 Motivation and Objective烉 Senior citizens had accumulated life-long working knowledge and experiences. These retirees mostly had certain expertise and productivities in certain fields. However, these important social capitals are overlooked by the society. Recently the rate of senior citizens adopting computers and the Internet is increasing. Therefore, this study will explore the impact of Knowledge Sharing in Elderly Virtual Communities. Materials and Method烉 This study begins with a literature review of knowledge-sharing related studies to construct the research model. A quasi-experiment is used to invite students of Chiayi senior university to join the virtual community and share knowledge. A survey is conducted to evaluate the elder’s knowledge sharing behavior and the effect on their meaning of life. Results and Conclusions烉The results show that the senior citizens’ behavior of knowledge sharing has a positive impact on their meaning in life. The results provide a reference for networks and senior citizen business operators to develop their online elderly services and for policy makers to further promote active aging learning.
